Claims Tips

  1. FNOL
    FNOL(First notice of loss). Contact your insurance provider and exchange information neeed to file a Property/Casualty claim.
  2. Coverage
    The adjuster will review the proper coverage that will apply to your claim. If any exclusions apply, it will be reviewed based on that excluded act(i.e intentional acts, fraud, wear/tear).
  3. Liability
    This step of the claim is when the adjuster will review who is responsible party for the damages reported. Some common topics discussed are what duties were owed, breached and met.
  4. Indemnify
    The term 'Indemnify' means to be made whole. The adjuster will investigate the claim, and present all interested parties how a settlement will be made.
  5. Payment
    When the claim is approved, a payment will be issued to settle the claim. Any applicable deductibles will be applied towards the payment made on your claim.
  6. Subrogation
    If there is an 'at-fault' party identified, your insurance provider will pursue them for reimbursement, including any deductible paid. .
